JESCA recognizes that provision of basic infrastructure is essential to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is also the primary tools that emerging cities have to drive social and economic prosperity. To be effective, infrastructures must be carefully planned and linked to national, regional and urban development priorities and goals. Careful planning should include all the relevant stakeholders and combine geographic and multi-sector criteria in search for complementarity, connectivity, multi uses parameters for a better return on investments.

Infrastructures require important financial investments. The assessment of funding needs and the identification of funding sources and mechanisms are crucial early in the process for the timely implementation of the infrastructure plan and the construction phase. Our line of services include:

  • Comprehensive infrastructure plans with agreed-upon short, medium and long terms growth visions and targets
  • Transportation planning and corridor development around key infrastructure including integrated land use, planning and development, traffic management
  • Infrastructure prioritization using collaborative design workshops, participatory planning methods, public outreach, and multi-criteria-decision making tools against an array of financial, environmental, social, engineering, and institutional capacity constraints
  • Affordable and bankable capital investment programs and identify financial sources including PPPs
